    J.D.
Vance was saying yesterday he doesn't care about the stock market.
In his most insanely optimistic world, somehow there is temporary chaos.
The stock market goes up and down.
And then eventually, in the long term, America emerges into a world which is more balanced, more equal, where the dollar's weaker, there's less credit, and there's more manufacturing in the US.
The problem is they're not going to get there.
   Well, there are two problems.
Firstly, the way they've designed it doesn't actually work to do that.
And secondly, they're very unlikely to get to the long term because in the short term, the markets, they don't think about long term macroeconomic models.
   The markets price something today.
People will say this, that, the other about the Chinese economy, but we don't know because, as you say, China announces 34% reciprocal tariffs and then all your maths goes out the window.
And then people think, well, maybe people are going to relocate to Vietnam.
No, you can't relocate to Vietnam because you've been hit with over 40% tariffs in Vietnam.
And then you suddenly think, well, actually, it's not just about Chinese companies in China.
It's also about Chinese companies in Vietnam, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
So the number of things you have to calculate to work out what the effects are, are unbelievable.
   Meanwhile, the markets panic.
So much more likely in the short term for J.D.
Vance and others is big collapse in the markets, collapse in the dollar.
And then pretty quickly, we're likely to find inflation going up, interest rates going up, and the global economy slowing.
So the first of all of you have to be able to sell smarter Byer Italia in India is about what happens when you've seen ?
   7ac3268.
Muhammad wants to purchase iron after 10 years ago.
   It's always the standard premium.
According to Kyle skillset conséquent, mast another premium into the ? and abges d? oil for dominant economy is doughnutpi.

Vance said that probably because chinas has dropped so much and CCP system is fragile. Just look at all of Trumps inner circle and advisors, little to no European experience (obviously), but more experience in that Asian Pacific theatre

The JD Vance meme will always make me laugh ????
3.@ThePmloc(2025-04-13 07:39:15)
They have capitulated already with China on electronic goods.????
4.@paulfletcher323(2025-04-13 07:40:27)
Vance is Not vice presidential material. He’s barely a politician and he’s damn sure, not an economist.
5.@DeOldeKruyk(2025-04-13 07:41:05)
Jd vance does care about the stocks. But as an Investor, not wat it does to people. It is a moron
6.@butterfingers5404(2025-04-13 07:41:24)
Insider trading is the only thing they committed to

Folks, this guy was on the USAID payroll (via his wife as they often are) which has now been shutdown. He's pissed off about it, conflicted, never declares that conflict, and doesn't even discuss it.... Most of what this guy talks about will not be properly understood until we can judge outcomes retrospectively. Until them, it's just speculation which this guy doesn't have a great track record on, despite sounding like he's got a crystal ball... It's all BS motivated by a odd desire for power and attention, against those who have substantially more than he ever will. Rest easy and good luck American.... I hope it works out. From an independent thinking Brit...
8.@a.t652(2025-04-13 07:58:52)
No mention of the people who will benefit....
9.@DrJazzSax(2025-04-13 08:14:15)
I'm fed up with people apologising for Americans. Americans are not stupid they're not gullible they like this type of leader that's why they voted for Trump. The majority of them want an authoritarian style dictatorship Government. They knew exactly what they were voting for they like this kind of strong authoritarian government we must face it, this is America now and perhaps it always was.
We must stay well clear of the USA, consider them aggressive and possibly an adversary, develop a rules-based free trade zone in Europe and Asia.

The nuts are running the mad house ????
14.@AogNubJoshh(2025-04-13 09:03:12)
Within what Rory is saying is a presumption that the long-term effects of tariffs and increased manufacturing are desirable. Blanket tariffs would force prices up and for American jobs to be taken up (unemployment is low and would start to take jobs from other sectors) manufacturing low value goods. A devalued dollar would mean America has far less purchasing power globally and cannot enjoy cheaper products or benefit from comparative advantage. I think the long-term picture is one of less general purchasing power for US citizens, which equates to a lower standard of living.
15.@smalltown2223(2025-04-13 09:09:48)
Stewart thinks he knows everything, he didn’t know how to not get thrown out of government for illegally trying to block Brexit. And Campbell is just a war criminal with blood on his hands.
16.@christinebeales9216(2025-04-13 09:53:40)
Of course Vance isn’t worried about the stock market. He could afford trainers for his children at massively inflated prices.
It appears you have kindly invited some creative look guests to this pc Rory, is this deliberate?
17.@a.t652(2025-04-13 11:26:01)
Markets only price things today ... Giving the impression they are not interested in the long-term. What a load of ignorance... Wrapped in a tone of authority. Guys if BP found a shit load of oil today their price would increase... Folks if Microsoft announced a new quantum chip to be mass market ready in 5 years, their price would go up ...
18.@erhardt1477(2025-04-13 11:46:42)
Well…

Imagine what the idiots would have said if Mrs. Harris would have made such a political move ?

That brings me to my next question… what are the democrats doing ?????
19.@erhardt1477(2025-04-13 11:50:08)
Oh… one more thing…

If I where a democratic political adviser, in the US right now…
I would tell the leadership I’m advising…
Every time you see a camera ???? or a microphone ???? ask the following question.
„How is your 401k doin ?“
„How is your 401k doin ?“
„How is your 401k doin ?“

Over and over again and again … until people get it… that THIS is not good for them.

Just a idea ????
20.@fatshaggy2842(2025-04-13 12:38:36)
The editor of these videos is hilarious
21.@DSTH323(2025-04-13 15:15:50)
Anyone who opposed Rory is doing so (Rory says) "insanely". That's the real Rory, not even close to his calculated "gentle" persona. Those in the UK who worked with him in Parliament say the real Rory is a vicious backstabbing fake. So they put him out of Parliament.
22.@jmc5951(2025-04-13 15:35:32)
The world trade market is much larger than the US trade market. So there are alternatives when the US acts as a destructive party. The problems are short-term but serious.
23.@danielmcneill4560(2025-04-13 16:51:02)
Nobody needs canada or this lymie
24.@heyguys9933(2025-04-13 17:00:11)
Tariffs are US tactic; China does not need to follow suit. The tactics they have to fight back are:
1. Selling of US Treasury Bonds
2. Stop buying US farming products and bankrupt the agricultural sector, particularly in red states.
3. Withhold key resources from US economy, such as rare earths.
25.@BombusMonticola(2025-04-13 19:34:24)
Id rather be under Chinese rule than Trump rule... without doubt. Better quality of life by far.
26.@stephenconway2468(2025-04-13 21:18:52)
I remember trying to put together the number of impacts Brexit would have. It was insane. It was too big for any positive outcome to be feasible no matter what govt was in power. Trump is playing a more radical game and the connections and interconnections involved are beyond insane. No one could determine the outcome or rather no one can control it.

Consider corporates that need investment or liquidity. From where can they get that? Most will hoard their own cash to protect themselves. The spreads for lending/borrowing even within a single currency are going to be back to 2008 chaos. That is just corporate liquidity!
27.@ZMugg1(2025-04-13 22:38:06)
What people overlook (or just plain ignore) is that manufacturing jobs being outsourced in the first place was encouraged by Republicans due to the fact that manufacturers refused to pay their workers a living wage.
28.@johnalsop3267(2025-04-13 22:55:15)
Just a simple question. If China ships product to the UK who then ship to the US, will the product suffer a UK tariff charge or a China tariff charge when it arrives in the US?
29.@luckyYono-v6i(2025-04-13 23:57:01)
Arm chair economist ???????????? Vietnam is hit with 40% because they takes input from China.. thats why the negotiations with them.. but not with China!
30.@onecupof_tea(2025-04-14 00:39:08)
Trump is deliberately creating chaos with tarriffs,
hedge fund traders make millions betting on the dollar and shares going up and down.
Trump invited his billionaire donors to the Oval office a few days ago. One man had made millions in one day. It's quid pro quo for supporting Trump.
Meanwhile they're cutting government services, and medicare.
31.@andypandy1986(2025-04-14 00:57:23)
lets be quick here, rory stewart doesn't have a clue about economics and his bad understanding is keynsian
32.@barkobama7385(2025-04-14 01:35:57)
Also Mark Carney triggering a massive coordinated sell off of US treasuries with Japan and the EU is yanking Trump's leash reminding him that being the global reserve currency is a privilege not a right.
33.@JamesBarry-t6q(2025-04-14 04:08:29)
Trump and his inner circle are drifting and and shorting the market it is just beyond shocking and he doesn't care that everyone sees what he's doing
34.@raymonschepers994(2025-04-14 04:27:00)
Etcetera >>>> etc.

Not excetra!
35.@jeffreybaer6386(2025-04-14 06:16:21)
There can be no doubt, the way this administration has fundamentally misunderstood global markets: Trump's idiocy and hate for non-American things has doomed this country to a 2nd depression.
36.@MrOlleyOlley(2025-04-14 06:37:36)
Why would anyone move manufacturing back to the USA given what has gone on. Tariffs go on they get paused they go on for everyone they then get reduced apart from China.

No company is going to spending millions if not hundreds of millions moving manufacturing with this level of uncertainty.

Furthermore there just isn’t enough people in America to do the jobs they want to bring back. Already nearly 8 million open jobs and not enough unemployed people to fill them even if unemployment went to 0
37.@karynkay328(2025-04-14 06:53:58)
Two words Insider Trading, the lot of them are getting rich.
38.@planthybrid93(2025-04-14 07:15:45)
This is the most acurat explanation I heard in the last 10 days
39.@human5078(2025-04-14 07:33:34)
These tariffs grant one thing for sure: nobody's moving anything, anywhere. How's shipping costs looking right now? Hmm...
40.@kok5249(2025-04-14 08:23:16)
The population of Vietnam is 100 million. The population of Guangdong (one southern province in China) is 120 million.
41.@philipdupont2308(2025-04-14 09:03:51)
Vance is such a good vice president.
42.@marcusharman(2025-04-14 09:43:46)
Vance is a moron. Trump is a moron. The mega republicans are also morons. How the hell did we get into a situation where a nation such as the United States is gripped by people whose intellect shines with all the glory of a 1.5 w lamp?
43.@briancase6180(2025-04-14 14:47:45)
First, JD Vance is just sycophantically mirroring Trump in order to please Trump. Second, Trump is in no way, in no world, capable of this kind of semi-sophisticated thinking. You are just scratching the surface of the problems with Trump's tariff regime, but regardless, Trump couldn't care less about reality. What concerns him is the fantasy world in his mind. Really. I'm serious. Malignant narcissists like Trump cannot see reality; they see only what their strange, self-centered mental model of the world tells them. "I'm uncomfortable, so I must manipulate reality to bring it back in l into better agreement with my internal, fantasy." Most narcissists aren't the president of the United States, though, and even if they are, they aren't surrounded by idiots who are also the most lame-brained sycophants.
44.@andrewnicholson2970(2025-04-14 16:11:49)
JDVance hopes to pick up cheap farms now that he has helped destroy them. At least his billionaire backer is (not Trump obviously, trumps not a billionaire)
45.@davidcooper8892(2025-04-14 16:39:03)
The ugly stick must be worn out ffs
46.@janmckellar6703(2025-04-14 17:34:39)
Vance intelligence knows no level. Once it was at floor level, now its in the basement ????????????
47.@billgiles3261(2025-04-14 18:08:14)
One day Vance will wake up to see that his chances of the presidency in 2028 are vanishingly small because of Trump’s idiocy.
48.@leo3334(2025-04-14 18:10:44)
Vance havent a clue about anything. He thrives on hopes
49.@jessicakoegel4353(2025-04-14 18:41:20)
JD's vision is to destroy our democracy and the e economy so that America can become a tech bro feudal state.
50.@canadianintheend(2025-04-14 18:43:20)
Trump and the Republicans Just don't care about the regular everyday person who don't have millions in their bank accounts. THEY DON'T CARE!!!
