| | Hi, welcome to another episode of Hot Takes, and it's not looking good for Tulip Sadiq. | | | It's been confirmed that a court in Dakar has now issued an arrest warrant for her over the corruption charges. | | | This arrest warrant came after Bangladesh's Anti-Corruption Commission submitted the criminal charge sheet against Labour MP last week. | | | We did the video about that. | | | That, of course, gives them the habeas corpus. | | | Britain does have an extradition policy with Bangladesh, and so Keir Starmer may find it very difficult to overwrite that. | | | He always bangs on about how he respects international law. | | | Now, of course, she's accused of basically pressuring her aunt, Sheikh Hasina Wazid, who is the former dictator of Bangladesh. | | | She forced her into allocating three plots of land for the MP's mother. | | | Her elder brother and her younger sister, all of whom, of course, are based here in the UK. | | | Now, the three plots of land were in an existing exclusive residential development in the northwest of London. | | | And today, Judge Mohamed Jaqir Hussain, sitting at a senior special judges court in Dakar, accepted the charge against Ms. Sadiq and issued the arrest warrant. | | | Oh, dearie me. | | | Now, the court has given Ms. Sadiq until April the 27th, so just over a week, to appear before the court and seek bail. | | | After that, the trial can start against her in absentia. | | | But they will want her there. | | | Very, very bad news. | | | Now, of course, she's very personally chummy with Keir Starmer. | | | He spent a lot of time in her house with her family and in Pakistan with her aunt, the dictator. | | | She encouraged him into politics. | | | There's a lot of questions over how much money was changing hands and this sort of thing. | | | What the, you know, the, what the relationship between them is. | | | And, of course, that past relationship may well have an element against it in going forward. | | | Does he, Starmer, owe her? | | | Will he stop her from being extradited? | | | Now, of course, Tulip Sadiq denies all the claims. | | | What else is she going to do? | | | But the evidence against her does seem to be strong enough that the arrest warrant has been, you know, put out there. | | | Now, the ACC alleges that after the Labour and Peace pressure, her aunt allocated the plots of land, each, you know, to the mother, siblings, whatever. | | | And it's land that was owned by the state, the Pakistani, sorry, the Bangladeshi state. | | | It's very difficult for them, isn't it? | | | Now, what's interesting is the arrest warrant would be, would make Tulip Sadiq, who's still a sitting MP, even though she's no longer a minister, and what's known as an absconding sub-suspect wanted in a foreign criminal investigation. | | | The warrant would also pave the way for the Bangladeshi authorities to seek her extradition, as I mentioned. | | | It's going to be very difficult for anyone in Labour to defend her, you know. | | | Now, her lawyers sent a letter to the Anti-Corruption Commission, the ACC, accusing it of launching targeted and baseless investigations into her, and that their claims are false and vexatious. | | | But, you know, nonetheless, this is still going on. | | | It's very difficult, and I think she does need to go. | | | And I don't think anyone should be stopping her from being extradited. | | | I do believe that Bangladeshi jails are not the best places in the world. | | | But, you know, it's been going on for some time. | | | It obviously stinks. | | | There's a lot of it whirling around, and the shit is now about to hit the fan. | | | So, grab your popcorn and watch and see, really, not what happens to her, but what is going to happen with Keir Starmer. | | | That's key. | | | Thanks very much. | | | Bye. |

That's great news- restores faith in human nature that some police forces will not accept bribes and will put justice before personal gain. We also have a treaty with Pakistan where any Pakistani nationals guilty of forms of sexual crimes can be sent back to serve their sentences in Pakistan. So why are we not sending all or many of the people involved in the grooming gangs back? Makes you wonder, but then again, we do not yet know how or where Starmer was involved in these events, which are still happening. Perhaps it is a service Starmer feels he should provide for all these single young men coming to this country with nothing.
