    Bad by-elections for Labour.
More bad results as we are now just a few weeks away from the local elections taking place.
   Labour's vote share is collapsing.
I don't care what the national polls say, if it's still got them neck and neck with reform etc.
   Their votes are collapsing nationwide.
A by-election took place in St Anne's which is in Haringey.
Labour's vote share collapsed by 21.5%.
The Greens actually won the seat with 14.1%.
The Lib Dems held a seat in Sutton.
But the Labour vote share again collapsed by 17.4%.
Reform took their first councillor in Greater Manchester which is in Thameside.
That's South Manchester for anyone who doesn't know.
   Which was previously Labour.
Labour's vote share collapsed by 32.2%.
This bears out the figures that we saw recently in the polling that showed the vast majority of people who earn £20,000 or less are going to vote reform.
Whereas the people who earn over £80,000 a year are going to vote Labour.
Remember this is a Labour party that used to control places like Hull.
But they lost control of Hull.
And looked likely to lose control of Newcastle as well.
   Working class areas.
But they managed to get places like Kensington and Chelsea.
Which of course includes places like Barclay Square and Mayfair.
Don't ever think for a second that this is a Labour party.
There is any resemblance whatsoever to what Bevan started.
Or to the Labour party that Attlee represented for example.
This is a party of the elites.
   A party of the establishment.
And ironically the very people that used to slack the Tories off for saying they are the party of the rich.
Will probably still come out and vote for Labour.
Will probably still be if safe then.
   Will be still there Babel.

26.@AndyP-b9z(2025-04-13 11:20:10)
I listen to a few of the socialist commentators and they seem to think that old school Labour used to be all about social justice. It kinda was, but it was social justice for the working class British and not much else. Now they're the same as the tories a party of the Neo liberal elite and just have social justice pet projects like airports in Pakistan at the expense of the British people.
27.@phillipwilliams140(2025-04-13 11:23:46)
